About the Hike:
Rocky Gorge is a roadside attraction. Follow the short paved path to a bridge over a chasm which provides an excellent view of its powerful rapids and cascades. The scenic area always attracts many visitors. Just over the bridge and up a short, winding path is peaceful Falls Pond. There is a stone viewing platform at the end of the pond. A one-mile loop trail encircles the pond for visitors who don't want to be with the crowds. The trail passes many fine viewpoints around its boggy edge. Make sure to avoid diverging cross-country ski trails along the loop.
